My goal is to provide a non-judgmental, and collaborative setting for my clients to share their thoughts and their feelings and feel safe while doing so.

My Therapy Style

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I have experience working with clients and families of all ages and backgrounds who have experienced a variety of challenges. I bring to the table an eclectic psycho-therapeutic approach utilizing evidenced-based therapeutic interventions. I believe that you need to meet each individual that you are working with where they are, creating a safe and secure environment to promote strength and balance.

My goal is to provide a non-judgmental, and collaborative setting for my clients to share their thoughts and their feelings and feel safe while doing so. It is important to allow each person to feel empowered, to let them know how resilient they are, and to be better equipped to handle life's everyday stressors. Seeking out mental health services can be overwhelming and scary at first. But it is my goal as a therapist to help my clients feel safe and to allow them to truly be themselves.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have always been drawn to helping other people. Growing up, I had some tough experiences. I felt that I could take those experiences and help others because what I did learn at the end of the day is that we are all strong, resilient individuals who have the ability to overcome personal struggles, we just need the proper tools and support to do it. I wanted to be part of that movement to support others and give them the tools they need to succeed in life.

What are your interests outside of work?

I am currently writing a book. I am very creative as well. I love DIY projects, gardening, and spending time with my husband and 5 children. I also love to travel and experience new things.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I do deep breathing and meditation exercises, I swim and ride my bike, and I bake with my kids.

What book have you read more than once?

Not Without My Daughter by Betty Mahmoody and William Hoffer. It is such a fascinating true story about Betty Mahmoddy an American woman and her daughter Mahtob and her escape from her abusive husband from Iran. The characters are authentic, the description of the culture and the experiences are real and it kept me on the edge of my seat. It was very well written in my opinion and I enjoyed it very much.

How do you recharge?

Sleeping, exercising, spending time with family, setting boundaries with my work schedule so I don't work too late or on weekends, and traveling.

Do you have any pets?

Yes. I have 3 cats and two dogs. One of my cats is very bonded to me. He follows me around the house like a dog and also plays fetch. He sits on my lap every night while I watch my favorite TV shows and he sometimes sleeps on the couch in my office while I do Telehealth with clients.
