Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I was drawn to this profession in order to become the supportive person that I needed throughout my life and be someone who helps others improve, grow, and someone who they can learn from.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of my professional self, I love creative arts, reading, running, and spending time with my loved ones.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I practice self-care by exercising, eating healthy, journaling, and listening to music.

What book have you read more than once?

Several books by Jodi Picoult because of the morality and social concepts she writes about. I learn something new about people and life every time I read them. It opens my mind to new ways of thinking.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Commonpoint Queens, an agency that I have been a part of for many years, which has allowed me to touch and help so many lives and has helped me grow personally and professionally.

How do you recharge?

Reading a good book and spending time outside in the sun.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have a Paperanian dog named Jackston who just turned seven and continues to act like a puppy by playing fetch at all hours of the day.
