Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-focused
The purpose of therapy is to create positive improvement within the individual, and to establish a higher quality of life. My approach to counseling/therapy varies somewhat with the needs of my clients. Primarily, I use the cognitive-behavioral approach to counseling/therapy. My style is interactive and I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaboration between client and therapist, for doing so creates equality within the therapeutic setting.
I only work with individual adults and it must be noted that I have experience working with African American, Latino, and LGBTQ+ communities. As a niche, I assist individuals heal from a divorce or break-up! One more piece to note, responsibility for change resides with the client since we are working on therapeutic goals set by the client. Let the transformation begin!
