What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to spend quality time with my children (15, 20, 21, and 22!) and my amazing 1 year old granddaughter! I love to travel and spend time in nature any chance I get. I also enjoy socializing with other family and friends as opportunities present themselves.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I love to begin and end each day with meditation and self-care. I like to go for walks and am currently learning yoga. I also journal and complete daily affirmations, goal setting and gratitudes.

What book have you read more than once?

Outside of therapy books that I often revisit for professional purposes, The Secret Garden is the only book I have read more than once. When I was 8 years old, it was a gift from my grandmother. I still have it today! This was a time in my life that I was still living through some trauma and I connected with the main character Mary Lennox, as she had experienced trauma and bullying. The book was all about how she grew through this tough period in her life and built some strong relationships.
