As a therapist, my broader goal is to help you experience higher states of fulfillment, joy, and peace of mind, rather than simply helping you decrease the symptoms you’re having.

My Therapy Style

I’m an existential and client-centered therapist with a social justice lens. I meet clients at the junction of their needs. I believe your personality and beliefs influence who you are as a therapist — I’m open to personal questions. I begin the process by building a strong therapeutic relationship and then using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help my clients progress. Unconditional positive regard and empathy are given throughout the therapy process. My clients will be encouraged to share as much as they want and will be shown respect when they do not want to talk about something they do not feel ready to explore. As a therapist, my broader goal is to help you experience higher states of fulfillment, joy, and peace of mind, rather than simply helping you decrease the symptoms you’re having.

We will explore the different parts of yourself with curiosity and compassion and bring awareness to your beliefs, needs, and relational patterns. We will collaborate together to find approaches that work for you. You will come to see that you have the capacity to handle life’s struggles. You will gain the courage to make choices and changes that empower you from a place of love and acceptance. You will have the capability to have healthy, thriving relationships.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I have always been passionate about helping people lead happier, healthier lives. Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, and I wanted to contribute to breaking the stigma and providing support to those in need. My journey has been driven by the belief that everyone deserves to live a life free from mental distress.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

One thing I do daily to support my mental health is practicing mindfulness meditation. Taking a few moments each day to focus on my breath and clear my mind helps me stay grounded, manage stress, and maintain a positive outlook.

What book have you read more than once?

I have read Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl more than once. This book's profound exploration of finding purpose and meaning in life, even in the face of suffering, has had a lasting impact on my personal and professional philosophy. It serves as a constant reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.
