My Therapy Style

My therapy style is to provide my clients with a safe and welcoming environment. Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I believe that humans are capable of evolving and developing into the great beings that they are meant to become. I feel rewarded when I am given the opportunity to a part of someone's journey to becoming their greater self.

What are your interests outside of work?

My interests outside of work consist of creating. I love crafts, sewing, crocheting, and building doll houses.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I crochet and work on crafts everyday after my office hours. It helps me to distract and provides a sense of empowerment once I have finished a project.

What book have you read more than once?

I have read An unquiet mind by Kay Jamison more times than I can recall. I love this book so much because it speaks about resilience and hardship. No matter how difficult things may seem, there is always a way out and a path to improve and accept and learn to love ourselves as we are.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite organization is the National Coalition against Domestic Violence. This is an organization that works hard at ending abuse and domestic violence and that understands the victim's situation. They provide shelter, legal aide, and financial support in various ways to victims that are looking to end the abuse

How do you recharge?

I recharge by going for walks with my dogs. It helps me feel energized and connected to nature and those around me.

Do you have any pets?

I have two dogs, Luna and Gavin. Luna is a teddy bear breed and Gavin is a Bischon Frise.
