Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I am a compassionate humanitarian that enjoys helping others. I feel that therapy is one of my natural talents and it was a essentially a passion or "calling" for me. I truly appreciate and enjoy everyday that I get to share in the experience of being a mental health professional!

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy playing guitar, reading, and playing golf.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I make time for myself to find a balance of life areas daily and will participate in either a hobby or interest or will engage in family activities with spouse and children to help with providing healthy emotional outlets and gaining support from others.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have a Yorkshire terrier and I love them!! My dog is like most Yorkies in the sense that he believes he is the size of a Mastiff. One day, my friend's Boxer came over, and my dog had a little bit of an aggressive attitude. After a while and in a gracious mood, my friend's dog gently placed his mouth over my dog's entire 4lb. body and that was it. The attitude was adjusted. LOL! He has not been as snooty, when meeting other dogs, ever since.
