Through this forum, an individual can search out solutions for the obstacles they encounter and gain a more authentic perception of self. I am experienced in treating adults, couples, children, and families. Some of therapeutic areas of expertise include dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, substance abuse, adjustment issues, trauma, and life stressors to name a few.

As a supportive, solution-focused therapist, I provide guidance to help you feel comfortable in reaching out and seeking alternatives. I utilize various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and emotionally focused couples therapy to name a few. I believe in being respectful, compassionate, and concerned for the unique needs of each individual. Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional to be able to create change and hope for others. I understand we all struggle at various times in our lives so if I can help at least one person keep hope in the darkest times of their lives then I have accomplished my job as a therapist.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy reading, going to the beach, and quality time with family and friends.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I utilize grounding and breathing strategies daily to support my mental and emotional well-being.

What book have you read more than once?

Rising Strong and The Power of Now. Both continue to inspire and help my development as a person.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by taking a walk at the beach.
