Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

Becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) has been quite an adventure for me. From a young age, I've always been that person who's super curious about the intricacies of human connection and how people navigate their relationships. I became a therapist because I wanted to help people develop the skills necessary to build healthy relationships so they can embrace being the root of their own happiness.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I prioritize spending quality time with my loved ones while also dedicating time for creative things like writing and painting. I also have a passion for traveling, learning, and exploring different cultures.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

One daily practice that significantly supports my mental and emotional well-being is mindfulness meditation. Taking just a few minutes each day to pause, breathe, and center myself helps me check in with myself so I am aware of my capacity and can better manage life stressors.

What book have you read more than once?

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne is one that I've revisited multiple times because of its empowering message about the power of positive thinking. Each time I read it, I find new insights and reminders that help me stay focused on my goals and maintain a positive mindset amidst life's challenges.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I do have a beautiful Golden Doodle. One of my cherished memories is the day we met our puppy. My son, initially fearful of other dogs, found solace in her calm demeanor. Amidst the chaos of the other dogs barking and jumping, she was relaxed and calm. As we handed her to him, she settled onto his lap, and instantly his fear was gone. Witnessing their immediate connection was truly heartwarming. It reminded me of the incredible ability of animals to bring joy and companionship into our lives, enriching our relationships in unexpected ways.
