Welcome, my name is Lauren Emma (she/her) and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I recognize that it takes a tremendous amount of courage to begin therapy. Therefore, my therapeutic practice is focused on providing an empathetic and non-judgmental environment. I have worked in a variety of settings and have treated various populations such as adults, young adults, seniors, and those in the LGBTQIA+ community.
As a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, I utilize the Daring Way™ model in the therapeutic setting. This model is based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown and explores topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. I have been trained to help clients work towards living a more wholehearted life by exploring the most authentic version of themselves. A major focus of this model is developing shame resiliency skills, self-compassion, and establishing values and self-worth. Having these tools can transform the way we live, parent, and love in our lives.

I enjoy traveling, learning about other cultures, and getting outside to appreciate nature and anything Disney!
My favorite non-profit organizations are the ASPCA and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). Being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and an animal lover these are two organizations that are the most meaningful to me.
I recharge by going to the beach, connecting with family, and friends, doing something active, and reading.
