Therapy Style

I love helping people live their best lives. For some people, that means managing anxiety or depression, starting a relationship, or ending one. Sometimes we need some help navigating the feelings that come along with life changes related to parenting, work, and finding meaning. I use a cognitive approach to increase insight and understanding about who we are and why we do what we do.

I am experienced working with couples as well as with mental health professionals. During our sessions, you can expect respect, expertise, kindness, humor, and a safe place to be yourself. I look forward to speaking with you!

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy reading and walking in the city. I love to cook for friends and family, but I think I like to try new restaurants even more. I am a slow, but dedicated runner.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?

I run! I learned to run late in life after many years of feeling like running "wasn't for me." Running makes me feel powerful and humble at the same time.

What book have you read more than once?

Women Who Run with Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. This book explores the stories that shape us and the stories we tell about ourselves.

Favorite organization/non-profit and why?

City Harvest in New York City. They rescue and repurpose millions of pounds of food every year and delivery it free of charge to hungry New Yorkers. It's a great community organization, and the organization itself is a great community!

How do you recharge?

Running, swimming, talking with friends, singing in the car, and walking through museums.

Do you have any pets?

I live with a very snooty cat who much prefers my husband to me!
