I describe myself as passionate, open, caring and engaged. I have worked for many years with teens, parents, families, and individuals experiencing anxiety and depressive disorders, including Major Depressive Disorder, OCD, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I am committed to helping each client meet their goals, including working with all other care providers involved. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and have an extensive background in mindfulness. I meet each client where they are at, and collaborate with the client to show up for life in a way that is consistent with their values.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy skiing, playing tennis, cooking, crossword puzzles, and playing Jeopardy!

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I love helping people, and enjoy teaching others. I also enjoy learning from others.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Yoga and meditation.

What book have you read more than once?

The Autobiography of Malcolm X. The book is inspiring, describing the perseverance of Malcolm X in the face of racial and criminal and systemic injustice.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite organization is Planned Parenthood because they save lives and provide education, at low cost or free, to millions of people who desperately need support.

How do you recharge?

I usually recharge by cooking, going for a bike ride, or swimming.

Do you have any pets?

I used to own three gold fish: Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, and Evander Holyfield.
