Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

While I've always been fascinated with the human mind and behavior, it was my own transformative experience in therapy that solidified my commitment to this field. Experiencing first-hand the profound impact therapy had on my life ignited a deep desire to pursue a career where I could assist others in shedding harmful behavioral patterns that hinder their growth. I am committed to empowering individuals to navigate their challenges with resilience, ultimately fostering their empowerment in the face of adversity.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I find great joy in exploring new restaurants, whether it's the latest local hotspot that opened in my city or a hidden gem tucked away in another country. The fastest way to my heart is definitely through my stomach, and I've amassed an embarrassing amount of Yelp bookmarks for restaurants in cities I've never even visited. When I'm not eating, I love traveling, hiking, spending time by the ocean, going to concerts, watching stand-up comedy, and cheering for my beloved LA Lakers.

How do you recharge?

Self-care looks different each day, depending on what I need to feel recharged and rejuvenated. Whether it's engaging in movement through exercise or stretching, taking time to be out in nature, or simply winding down by watching my favorite shows in bed, I try to stay attuned to what my needs are at that moment.

Do you have any pets?

While I no longer have a pet, my beloved dog Crash, an American Bulldog, will always hold a special place in my heart. I have too many special memories to choose from, but one of my favorites was a sunny afternoon spent lounging in the pool together. As I floated lazily, soaking up the sun, I suddenly realized Crash was unusually quiet. In a panic, I searched for him, only to find him quietly floating in the pool, his paws wrapped around a pool volleyball, soaking up the rays with the most zen-like expression on his face. It was a hilarious moment that perfectly captured Crash's laid-back spirit, and it's a memory that always brings a smile to my face.
