My Therapy Style

I provide culturally humble treatment to clients from all walks of life. I have over 17 years of experience in various healthcare and educational settings. I utilize different counseling techniques such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to treat various needs including depression, anxiety, trauma, burnout, stress, and women’s issues. I offer a safe, warm, and encouraging space for clients. I wish to help clients overcome obstacles so they can be happier and more confident in their lives.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional to help people navigate the challenges that life presents and to guide them in overcoming barriers.

What are your interests outside of work?

I like dancing, hiking, and cinema.

What book have you read more than once?

The Giving Tree. My perspective on it changes depending on where I am in life.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Cine Las Americas because they feature small films from many countries as well as films focusing on indigenous stories or by indigenous film-makers

Spending time outdoors!
