Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a therapist because I enjoy connecting with other people, being present for their experiences, and supporting folks in their growth. I find empathy and non-judgment come easily to me which suits my work well. I also find being present for others' healing and self-work a beautiful process which enriches my own life.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love spending time with the wonderful people in my community. I enjoy adventure – travel, hikes, being outside, dancing, going to concerts, being active, and trying new things. I also enjoy being curled up with a cozy blanket, good novel, and a cup of coffee.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I try to find some joyful ways to move my body every day, whether that is walking, dancing, working out, lifting weights or hiking I try to move my body every day.

What book have you read more than once?

I have read every novel by Toni Morrison, some more than once! I revisit passages from Tar Baby very often.
