Seeking treatment can feel vulnerable. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment to empower clients as they confront and process issues creating challenges in their life. I work from a strength-based, person-centered approach to help clients develop skills to implement change and reach their goals. Though I utilize evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solutions-focused therapy, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect in treatment. I have experience working with adults from various religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, gender and sexual identities, and across the socioeconomic spectrum.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my spouse and our two children, as well as our extended family who live nearby. We love trying new restaurants together, going on walks along the American River, and taking weekend trips up and down the coast.
I talk with my best friend and my parents. My strong support network helps keep me feeling connected and grounded.

Taking a daily shower may sound like a given, but as a parent to young children, finding 15 minutes to yourself can feel impossible. Carving this small time out for myself every day helps me feel refreshed and capable of facing the day's challenges.
