Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I came to find in my high school years that I had an exceptional interest in both the sciences and in human behavior. At the same time, I knew that I enjoyed being of service to others, and found that providing empathetic support to friends and family going through difficult times came naturally to me. I somewhat fell into the idea of becoming a Psychologist, but as time progressed I found it to be the perfect fit for my personality and strengths.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Physical activity is something I have found that greatly impacts my mental and emotional well-being. When I exercise, my mind is clearer throughout the day and I am cooler under pressure. On my work days, I try to exercise each morning before I get ready for the day, and on my days off, I go on hikes with my dog.

How do you recharge?

I have a deep appreciation for nature and love getting outside as much as possible. During my free time, I enjoy spending time walking the beach, going on hikes, and taking scenic drives along the coast or up in the mountains.

Do you have any pets?

I am an animal lover and have lived with pets my whole life. I currently have one dog and one cat. One of my favorite memories of my current pup was the first time I took her to the dog park. She grew up in a litter of 12 and absolutely loves playing with other dogs. She ran faster than any other dog in the park, and it was so heartwarming to see her sheer joy and excitement with the new experience.
