Therapy Style

I create a compassionate space to help you connect with your true self, the life you want to live, and the relationships you want to have. Therapy is not always easy, but I’ll offer guidance and support. We’ll discuss strategies to help you develop more agency in life.

With couples, my style is interactive and focused. I help partners recognize patterns that keep them “stuck”, teach strategies to cool down intense emotions, and communicate with intention.

I draw upon practices that are informed by science, but ultimately human. I feel great privilege having worked with a variety of people and issues over the past 20+ years and I continue to deeply enjoy this work.

What are your interests outside of work?

Taking hikes, listening to podcasts, spending time with family and friends, gardening, taking road trips, healthy cooking.

How do you recharge?

Depending on the situation, I might go on a hike/connect with nature, explore a new neighborhood, immerse myself in planning a vacation, talk with someone who can give me perspective, listen to a podcast, try out a new recipe, get lost in a movie, start a gardening project, or distract my mind with games like Scrabble. I also examine my daily schedule to make sure it’s sustainable and value-consistent, making adjustments as needed.

Do you have any pets?

We have a poodle-mix rescue who still has lots of puppy energy at age 11! She’s quite a character and we enjoy imagining what she might say if she could speak.
