My Therapy Style

I am a licensed clinical social worker in New York State and have experience working with adults and adolescents in multiple settings. I primarily work with individuals who experience symptoms caused by anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and/or schizophrenia. I also have experience in helping individuals work through various personality dynamics and in strengthening their interpersonal and communication skills.

I value the importance of building rapport and supporting my clients in achieving their individual treatment goals. When working with clients, I embrace a Strengths-Based lens and utilize various treatment methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Harm Reduction. I also like to incorporate mindfulness, stress management techniques, and safety planning into treatment. I believe in the importance of communication and will assist individuals in their ability to advocate for themselves and communicate effectively with others. Regardless of what you are experiencing, I will provide you with a safe, supportive environment to work toward achieving your individual goals.

Get to Know Me

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, my interests consist of spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I enjoy the outdoors and going for walks, hikes, or just sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air. I love to travel and see new places. I love going out to eat, relaxing and watching TV or a movie, and trying new activities.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Every evening I make sure to take at least 30 minutes to myself, in a quiet space, to just relax and be by myself. Life can be stressful, and overstimulating and I have found that giving myself some alone time each day has been very helpful in decompressing and relaxing at the end of a long day.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by taking time to myself and enjoying some quiet time, or by taking a hot bath, going for a massage, or spending one-on-one time with someone I care about.

Do you have any pets?

I have two cats (Meeko and Samoa), a great dane (Turk), and a Quaker parrot (Lola). I am an animal lover and enjoy spending as much time as I can with my pets! I have SO many favorite pet stories that I do not think I could pick just one to talk about!
