Therapy style
It is my calling to help encourage people to value their personal stories. This is done by recognizing their strengths and using them for healing, recovery, finding balance, and discovering their worth.
My experience and training include Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, family systems therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other holistic health methodologies.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I managed a program serving severely mentally ill, homeless adults. I was privileged to support this routinely under-served population here in San Diego, giving me a renewed perspective on the value and worth of every human life. I have also had the blessing of serving and supporting victims of domestic violence, developmentally disabled adults, children with open CPS (Child Protective Services) cases, and Veterans with co-occurring disorders (mental illness and substance abuse).

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my 4-year-old daughter. We love to dance and sing together. We enjoy cooking, eating, and sharing meals with friends and family. We love to travel, attend the theater, paint, and play with our 4lb dog named Brutus.
