Therapy style
My professional journey has included counseling clients through hardships, anxiety, divorce, transitions, and life's obstacles. I am comfortable treating a variety of other disorders relating to parenting, mood, and anger issues. Making a positive impact on my client's lives and futures has been my life's work and incredibly rewarding.
I believe the most important part of making therapy successful is establishing a trusting relationship where I then empower the client to pursue their desired goals and overcome barriers preventing that outcome. I am very client-centered and base tools and modalities on the individual's strengths and personality. Often these interventions pull from theories such as motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-focused, and Humanistic. I am happy to intertwine Christian faith into treatment if desired.
