Therapy style

Making a positive impact on my client's lives and futures has been my life's work and incredibly rewarding. My professional journey has included counseling clients through hardships, anxiety, divorce, transitions, and life's obstacles. I am comfortable treating a variety of other disorders relating to parenting, mood, and anger issues. I believe the most important part of making therapy successful is establishing a trusting relationship where I then empower the client to pursue their desired goals and overcome barriers preventing that outcome. I am very client-centered and base tools and modalities on the individual's strengths and personality. Often these interventions pull from theories such as motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-focused, and Humanistic. I am happy to intertwine Christian faith into treatment if desired.

Approaches

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
