Therapy style
I have experience practicing in many settings, including inpatient and outpatient hospital and agency settings, high school settings, private practice, and both for-profit and non-profit agencies focusing on mental health and substance abuse disorders, and university counseling centers.
My style is relaxed, engaging, and collaborative. I am not a “how does that make you feel” clinician. I utilize therapeutic techniques and exercises to help my clients learn and grow in life, between our sessions. I believe that no one needs to walk this life journey alone. My goal is to help my clients be who they desire and who they are designed to be in this world, to work through issues in a way that enhances their strengths and experiences, and to explore thinking, feeling, and behavioral patterns.
