Therapy style
I have several years of experience working with adults who are struggling through anxiety, uncertainty, depression, loss, trauma, life transitions, and relationship and intimacy issues. My approach is warm, collaborative, direct, and at times humorous! I use an integrative framework and draw on relational, psychodynamic, and humanistic modalities to guide my work.
In the context of a supportive relationship, our work together would focus on finding relief while gaining a deeper understanding of what is troubling you. Treatment might take the direction of identifying strengths, bringing awareness to how the past impacts emotional life in the present, and developing language to express difficult thoughts and emotions. Together we would partner to explore narratives and protective patterns that are no longer needed and get in the way of healing. With compassion and curiosity, I am dedicated to fostering a space where you come to feel safe enough to take emotional risks and perhaps grow an appreciation for the story that brings you here today.
