Hi, my name is Yared, and I am happy you are taking the time to read this short bio. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Registered Yoga Teacher. I have been a therapist since 2011. I love my role as a therapist because I witness times of transformation and realization of one's potential to heal and recover from emotional distress. My genuine, non-judgmental, straightforward, and compassionate personality influences greatly my approach to therapy. Together we will build a therapeutic alliance of honesty, respect, and empathy. I am not an expert on your life. The magic comes from building a therapeutic alliance based on honesty, respect, and empathy where you will feel safe and empowered to explore your own solutions and gain a sense of control over your own thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. I've worked with teenagers on probation to overcome addictions and young adults dealing with life transitions. I've also worked with adults struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, and disturbing memories of traumatic experiences. I utilize a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Yoga, breathwork, exposure, journaling, and sporadic homework between sessions among others depending on your needs. Now, take a deep breath, be still, and know there is hope. Let’s work together!
