Therapy style
Do you struggle with food? Do you cycle through diet after diet and find yourself unable to stick to any? Do you binge eat? Are you afraid of food? Do you hate your body or wish it looked different? Do food and body issues take up a lot of your energy? Have you been diagnosed with an eating disorder and don't know where to turn?
Alternatively, do you find yourself weighed down by anxiety? Does life seem difficult? Do you deal with intrusive thoughts? Do you find it hard to sleep, eat normally, and live in the way that you want? I specialize in evidence-based treatments for anxiety and eating disorders. I am trained in a number of modalities and I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
I am a warm and empathetic therapist who believes in providing a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help my clients identify and change negative patterns of thinking and behavior. However, I also incorporate some psychodynamic perspectives into my approach, as I believe that understanding the underlying causes of our emotions and behaviors can be helpful in achieving long-term growth and change.
My goal is to work collaboratively with my clients to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their unique needs and goals. I believe that therapy is a journey, and I am committed to providing support and guidance every step of the way.
