Therapy style

I believe that there is no “one-size-fits-all” therapy approach and that therapy should be just as unique as the clients themselves. Although I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential therapy, and Mindfulness-based therapy within my practice – I'm more interested in getting to know my clients for who they are, exploring what therapy approaches may work for their individual needs, and providing culturally competent collaborative therapy. When working together, we will set therapeutic goals, work towards decreasing unwanted symptoms, and challenge you to explore your true sense of self.

Approaches

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Harm Reduction
  • Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
  • Solution-focused
  • Strengths-based

Education

BA - Psychology, Marymount California University MA - Clinical Psychology, Azusa Pacific University

Interests

Similar to the seasons of life, my interests are often ever-changing. Before becoming a mother, you'd find me indulging in finding new books to read, getting coffee with friends, swimming laps, or booking my next vacation. However, since then, my priorities have shifted, and my interests now often revolve around spending and creating quality family time, exploring new coffee shops, and finding ways to stay sane as a working mother.
