Therapy style
I can validate many of your experiences being of Latinx descent and normalize some of these things based on my background being a first-generation child of Mexican immigrants as well as my extensive experience working with people from different Latinx backgrounds. When you work with me in therapy you might notice that you feel comfortable very quickly, in part, due to my friendliness. If you speak Spanish, we can speak Spanglish and use common sayings or "dichos." I am very open-minded and know you're the expert in your life. You can share as much as you feel comfortable sharing while we build trust and work through your traumas.
