Therapy style
It has been my experience that clients know themselves better than anyone, they are their own best resource when it comes to engaging in treatment. I believe that our wellness comes not just from physical health, but from spiritual health and mental health. I see therapy as a joint process in which the client’s own knowledge and skills are combined to create solutions. It's important for me to help clients make that connection in their healing journey and learn new skills that will help create healthy relationships. My goal is to empower clients to use their resources to improve their functioning through compassionate reflection.
I have worked in various therapeutic settings including community mental health, court-mandated therapy, and crisis response with different modalities. I understand my clients through a psychodynamic lens and use evidence-based practice to help my clients accomplish their goals. I look forward to working with you in your self-discovering journey!
