Therapy style
I work primarily from a client-centered model and my therapeutic approach is eclectic, which means depending on the individual needs of my clients, I incorporate elements and therapy tools from various approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness based psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, etc. Above all, I emphasize the importance of a strong and compassionate therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy involves a balance between helping a client explore past experiences and identifying how these experiences may be affecting them in the present. I often use culturally sensitive tools in my practice while working closely with my clients. I work from within an anti-oppressive and anti-racist framework. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California with over 7 years of experience working with individuals and couples.
