My number one goal is to provide you with a safe space for you to be authentically and unapologetically you.

My Therapy Style

I will work hard to make sure you wholeheartedly believe that your mental health diagnosis does not have to define who you are. While I can’t promise that therapy will always be fun and something you look forward to week after week, I do believe therapy has the potential to be transformative for you if you allow it to be. My number one goal is to provide you with a safe space for you to be authentically and unapologetically you, without any filters or judgment. I will always be there to trust you, support you, and gently nudge you (when you need it, and trust me, we all need a little nudge once in a while).

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because of a strong desire to help others. I've also always been fascinated by the human mind, and how thoughts and emotions impact all aspects of our life.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy spending time outside of work with my husband and our high-energy golden retriever. I love spending time with close friends and family, trying new foods, exploring DC, reading, and baking different desserts. I try to travel as often as I can because I thoroughly enjoy exploring new places, experiencing different cultures and trying new foods.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I try to go for an evening walk every single day to help decompress!

What book have you read more than once?

I have read Sometimes Therapy is Awkward by Nicole Arzt more than once because I enjoy reading about the nuances of working in the mental health field and find it provides guidance on how to navigate our unique line of work!

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite non-profit is Doctors Without Borders because they do such critical work in high-risk areas and provide important medical assistance to people who need it most. I strongly believe that every human regardless of background or location should have access to basic health care, which this organization aims to do.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by spending time with family and friends and going on walks in nature as often as I can.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have a 1 year-old Golden Retriever! One of my favorite moments about him is when he met my baby niece for the first time. He was so concerned whenever she cried and tried his best to be protective of her. But, it was his first time around a baby so he also didn't know what to do, and would just start crying if no one tended to my niece in time!
