My Therapy Style

As a healing-centered trauma-competent therapist, I work primarily with women and gender-diverse individuals. We will focus on the exploration of self and identity during challenging times. We will learn and practice strengths-based healing tools for coping and navigating challenges that foster personal growth. I help individuals build resilience, enhance self-awareness, and cultivate the inner strength needed to navigate life from a healing and grounded sense of self.

I expect clients to be engaged during our sessions, be open to reflective growth, and utilize assignments tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I wanted to connect with people so that they feel empowered to access tools and resources previously out of their reach.

What are your interests outside of work?

Spending time outdoors, backpacking and hiking, dancing, reading, and laughing with my family and friends.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I practice yoga and pilates daily which helps me stay physically strong but is also stress-reducing.

What book have you read more than once?

Jon Kabat-Zinn's "Wherever You Go, There You Are" because it feels accessible to meet myself where I am and move from that point. That I can practice mindfulness every moment, to acknowledge I am always learning, and I can always be more grounded and grateful in my life.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

A local group of volunteers called "Sleep in Heavenly Peace" that builds bunk beds for children from low-income families that otherwise sleep on the floor, on couches, or blankets. They build the beds and donate new kid-themed bedding for kids to have their own safe and comfortable place to sleep.

How do you recharge?

By prioritizing rest and having fun in addition to being a responsible human. Making time for play and rejuvenation has been so healing for me.

Do you have any pets?

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats! They keep me very busy. I love to take my dogs hiking and spend time with them outdoors.
