My Therapy Style

After personally breaking generational trauma and finding the skills needed to heal, I decided to become a therapist. I teach my clients to be able to do the same by identifying core experiences that may contribute to their reactions as well as thought processes and learning how to regulate one’s emotions to live their best life possible. Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health counselor because I grew up in a very difficult environment, and had to learn an an early age to care for myself and others. I wanted to continue to break the cycle of family and generational trauma by becoming a therapist and helping others do the same.

What are your interests outside of work?

Traveling, spending time with my family and cooking.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I practiced deep breathing and mindfulness activities daily.

What book have you read more than once?

Maybe you should talk to someone. I absolutely loved this book as a therapist and a client. It was healing.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

OSCAR (it’s a local animal shelter near me and I love what they do for the community).

How do you recharge?

When I can, I enjoy walking and listening to music.
