Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I recognize the significance of past experiences in shaping our present realities, and I firmly believe that our past does not determine our future. I have always wanted a career that assists others in becoming the best version of themselves. As a mother of multiples, I understand the challenges of navigating daily life and curveballs like anxiety, grief, work-life balance, and stress. When you have the tools to support you in your goals, you are capable of so much more than you realize.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my family, taking day trips, live music, sightseeing, going to the beach, and watching sci-fi/fantasy or historical fiction movies, and TV shows.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I enjoy different types of exercise like pilates, strength training, rowing, and yoga that challenge my mind and body.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

4-H is an organization that holds a special place in my heart. It played an integral role in my upbringing and continues to be something I enjoy with my family. I appreciate the diverse aspects of this youth development organization, from public service and leadership to fostering confidence, resilience, and compassion through hands-on experiences. It truly offers something for everyone.

Do you have any pets?

I have a rescue Beagle named Max and a Sphynx named Scooter. I grew up around all types of animals from typical pets to farm animals.
