I approach the therapeutic alliance with curiosity, humor, and openness.

My Therapy Style

I draw from many modalities including Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Solution-focused, and Psychodynamic theories. I am a strong believer that many people repeat patterns with details such as the characters, settings, and storyline changing while the deep-rooted emotional needs remain unresolved. I often explore themes that arise in session and encourage the insights we can collaboratively glean from this. We will also actively restructure thoughts, process emotions, and set short-term goals for behavioral change. I approach the therapeutic alliance with curiosity, humor, and openness and hope you may be willing to do the same!

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have always been intrigued by human behavior, and through clinical work have found that the human experience lends itself to more commonalities then differences. I am passionate about building community, destigmatizing mental health care, and facilitating a therapeutic space where clients can work towards personal growth.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I engage in a daily journaling exercise, whether following a prompt or jotting down statement of gratitude, to help me practice mindfulness and reflect on the day at hand.

What book have you read more than once?

One of my favorite books is Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. This book reflects my own experience in identifying as an introvert and has been an empowering tool to reframe this trait as a strength.

How do you recharge?

I enjoy hiking, biking, yoga, reading, and doing puzzles.
