Therapy style
Maybe this is a starting point for you and you are new to therapy, or recommitting to therapy after a break. Perhaps mental health issues (like depression or anxiety) were not discussed in the family or community in which you grew up, or you have had difficulty reaching out for help for other reasons. Sometimes what holds us back from seeking help is self judgment (‘I should be able to handle this’), or fear that things won’t improve. You are certainly not alone, help is available, and change is possible.
We will work together to develop a clear plan for achieving the change you want to see. The pace of the work will depend on many variables, but for clients who are committed to the process, and able to apply skills learned in session to their outside lives, change can often be felt quickly. Please reach out if you think I may be of help.
