I have been a counselor for nearly forty years and have worked with variety of people and their problems. I specialize in family and couples counseling and theory, which works with both families and individuals. The two most common issues I see currently are depression and anxiety/panic. The first session, the assessment, is where I gain an understanding of the reason the person is seeking counseling and collect a history of the situation. In either the first or second session, I develop a treatment plan, in collaboration with the client. From there forward, we work on the goals set.
