Therapy style
I use efficient mindfulness of the body approaches that help me provide you with tools to bring out the wealth of knowledge that your mind-body holds. This allows for something new to develop from within you such that real and lasting change can occur. This supports a powerful release of tension from trauma and relational pain. In an era of distractions and pressure, I help my clients reclaim their inner center. I have since 1995 actively refined how I see and work with people. I have learned to pick up on my clients’ struggles while also connecting with them.
All these years I have vigorously sought out a wealth of trainings that resonate with how I see I can best help. I am a certified Focusing Trainer, certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, and certified in Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST).
I am also Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing trained, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational interviewing trained. I use these modalities to treat trauma as well as help you replace difficult thought patterns, emotion patterns, and behavior patterns with a growing inner sense of “I am ok. I can do this”.

Interests
I go backpacking and kayaking. I practice Transcendental Meditation. I practice QiGong. I am a member of two different weekly Men's groups where we support each other in exploring how we can be better people, enjoy life more, and be there for others. One of the groups has been ongoing since 1989. I joined the other group over 4 years ago. I enjoy spending time with my adult children.
