To me, what is essential is that the therapy encounter be a “safe enough” space that can allow for the unfolding of vulnerability and risk-taking.

Therapy style
I am most drawn to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, a gold-standard treatment for trauma and a whole psychotherapy approach that is responsive and relational. That said, I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on several modalities depending on what resonates most with each client. I believe that therapy works best when the process is co-constructed. To me, what is essential is that the therapy encounter be a “safe enough” space that can allow for the unfolding of vulnerability and risk-taking and that what gets nurtured in the protected space of therapy can be transferred out into your daily life.
