Therapy style
I treat each therapy session as an opportunity to learn more about you as the client and to recognize your strengths and resilience. I am client-focused and collaborative and draw on techniques from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I practice from a trauma-focused lens and incorporate mindfulness activities during our sessions. I offer a warm and non-judgmental space for you to identify and explore your feelings and I view myself as your teammate in your healing process.
In the past, I have worked with clients recovering from various forms of trauma including immigration, domestic violence, childhood abuse, and strained family relationships. I also work with those experiencing parenting struggling and with individuals diagnosed with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and adjustment disorder. Together we will establish intentional treatment goals and work towards them as teammates.
