I help clients understand and articulate the challenges they face in a way that is meaningful.

My Therapy Style

My therapy style is warm and direct. I help clients understand and articulate the challenges they face in a way that is meaningful and useful so that they are better equipped to make real choices that are equally satisfying and sustainable. I provide a space where clients can be truly heard, some for the first time.

I specialize in working with individuals, families, and couples who are negotiating complex issues around identity or life transitions, but can also help clients focus on and work through more specific relational challenges that have arisen in their lives. Let's work together to create lasting change.

Get to Know Me

What are your interests outside of work?

I'm interested in people, community, justice, and liberation. I'm interested in learning, challenging myself, and staying active and engaged, with myself and with others.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I walk every day, rain or shine. Oh yeah, and coffee too.

What book have you read more than once?

Frantz Fanon's Black Skin White Masks. I bought it as a teenager and it was the first book I bought new with my own money. It was also the first book I read written by a psychiatrist. It reminds me of the complex ways that psychological suffering and society are intertwined and connected, and that we are not meant to be creatures in isolation. That's part of what I try to do, help people heal their ability and desire to connect authentically and radically.

How do you recharge?

Walks with my dog, hiking, trail running, and time spent outdoors. Anything related to learning something new, whether it's sports or martial arts. A good book, good coffee, and interesting people always do the trick as well.
