I believe therapy creates an opportunity for personal growth and healing as we work together to overcome life’s challenges.

My Therapy Style

My style is collaborative, supportive, and eclectic. I have shaped my theoretical framework with over 25 years of counseling experience in both public school and private practice settings. My goal is to create a safe environment where we can work toward achieving your goals, renewing hope, discovering hidden strengths, and building healthy ways of coping with life struggles. I enjoy helping people find peace by including meditation, mindfulness, art, play, self-compassion, and gratitude in our work together.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I took a psychology course in high school and was fascinated by the brain and how it works.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and being outdoors, especially near water.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I spend quiet time with my pets or engage in creative activities (writing, drawing, painting, coloring).

What book have you read more than once?

Self-Compassion by Kristin Neff because managing self-talk is a game changer!

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Animal foster non-profits, because they keep animals out of shelters and help to place them in forever homes.

How do you recharge?

Meditation and expressing gratitude.

Do you have any pets?

I have 3 cats and 1 dog. My daughter fosters tiny baby kittens, and one of her kittens was so wild that we thought she would never be able to go to an adoptive home. We were just about to give up on her and were sitting at the table having a conversation about her future. She was on the cat tower nearby where she often hung out so she could scratch or bite when someone would walk by. I guess she heard or in some way understood the conversation because the next day she was sweet, calm, purring and rubbing on our legs. So we decided to keep her.
