From a young age, I have always seen that all humans have value and individual strengths. I have enjoyed working in the field for over 20 years, where I believe creating a supportive, validating environment and honing in on specific areas of development have allowed for very successful change in my clients' lives. I use approaches that draw on client strengths and also bring ideas, thoughts, fears, behaviors, and unfulfilled dreams to the forefront to create desired change. Reaching out for support is not easy, but I will walk the path with you, as we explore and implement steps for more peace, joy, and understanding in your life.
MS - Counseling, California State University, Hayward
I have always been fascinated by human behavior and relationships and people's lives, especially those less fortunate. Additionally I was always told I am a good listener who validates people for who they are. My mother is my inspiration of what it means to be a kind, non-judgmental human.
Yoga, artistic projects, trail walking, reading, spending time with my family, watching movies, shows, good food, and especially raising my son.
Checking in with myself regarding how I am feeling emotionally. Moving my body and having quiet time for reflection.
Camp Kesem which provides a week sleepover summer camp for children affected by a parent's cancer. My son attends yearly since my own experience with (thankfully successful) cancer treatment and the camp is filled with amazing counselors and it allows him a place to share concerns and truly be a kid.
Time with loved ones, listening to music, journaling, and hot baths.
Two young rescue male cats who are the sweetest boys and I love to watch their personalities. One plays fetch with a ball, and the other adores water!
