My Therapy Style

I am a Solution-focused therapist who uses a Cognitive approach. I emphasize spirituality and existentialism in my practice. I want those I work with to find meaning and purpose in their lives and do so by providing a judgment-free, warm space. With my experience with diverse populations and ages, I have the skills to create a specialized treatment plan. I also specialize in childhood trauma.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I began to recognize that life is a struggle for many of us, including me. I began to develop coping skills for myself. I developed compassion through my life challenges. Psychology and human behavior and theories always fascinated me. I have a lifelong curiosity and interest in examining the meaning of life and how we interact on this earth. I have always been very intuitive and spiritual.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy dancing, yoga, beach walks, meditation, and mindfulness.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Make-a-Wish. My daughter is a cancer survivor. Prior to her diagnosis, she was raising funds for Make-a-Wish at her school. Children with Life Threatening illnesses suffer greatly and do not have the inner resilience, maturity, life experience to cope with such challenges. This foundation provides joy and restores faith and hope in life and humanity.

How do you recharge?

Hot baths, jacuzzis, rest, meditation, dancing, interacting with nurturing friends and family.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, Daisy. She's a female Shih Poo and the best emotional support animal.
