Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I enjoy serving my community in a positive manner and helping others reach their fullest potential.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy hiking, yoga, and participating in different types of healing practices (i.e. floating, chakra alignment, reiki, meditating, sound bathing, spending time at hot springs).

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Play with my son and French bulldog!

What book have you read more than once?

Wild Steps of Heaven by Victor Villasenor because it is fun, fantastical, and references my Latin heritage.

Do you have any pets?

I have a French Bulldog named Oliver, who is the love of my life. My favorite Oliver story is when I visited his breeder for the first time in order to meet another puppy in his litter who was "assigned" for me to adopt and take home. While holding the other puppy, Oliver was having none of it and muscled his chubby body onto my lap. From then on, I knew he was the dog for me (I love his spunk).
