Therapy style

I have been a therapist for 21 years specializing in adoption, families, children, individuals, couples, and substance abuse, and am adept with people diagnosed with anxiety and depression, mood disorders, and life transitions. I use an array of approaches creating the ability to get to the heart of their issues and transform. People are always doing the best they can. I have worked with many ethnicities, religions, and the full gender and sexual identification spectrum.

Approaches

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Relational
  • Solution-focused
  • Strengths-based

Interests

I enjoy swimming, hiking, rollerskating, and dancing as forms of exercise and fun. I am a certified raw food chef and trained in many other approaches to cooking so creating great meals and sourcing good healthy ingredients is always top of mind for me. I am currently learning many things about remodeling and rehabbing a building and am also in the early stages of learning German. I love music, ballet, and arts so recreational time is finding me at performances or art exhibits on the regular. I will soon be bringing a poodle puppy into my life, so that will be a major focus of bonding and training :)
