Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

At the age of 12, I knew I wanted to be a therapist. I love supporting others on their journeys of building fulfillment, connection, and life satisfaction. It is an extremely humbling and rewarding career and I feel honored to do this work.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the lake, working out at the gym and baking sourdough bread.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Each day I focus on taking care of basic needs; ensuring sleep hygiene, drinking water and incorporating movement throughout the day to help provide an outlet for stress.

What book have you read more than once?

The Body Keeps the Score. I enjoy reading this book because it is full of such helpful information about trauma and how it impacts the body. The content of the book also helps inform the work that I do with clients.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite organization is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I strongly believe in their mission and dedication to prevent and cure disease and support children in accessing care.

How do you recharge?

I can always recharge by being outdoors whether it's doing yard work or going on a walk.
