Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

During undergrad, I began taking Sociology classes where I wanted to learn how people interact with society and social change as it relates to outside influences. While working in the residential facility as a counselor, I struggled to find the time to sit and talk with the girls due to needing to manage other tasks in my position. I decided to pursue a degree in Counseling to learn how to help them overcome their personal struggles due to the traumas they endured.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy pilates, calligraphy, gardening, and interior design.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I pray and meditate which helps support my well-being.
