My goal is to help each individual create their own meaning of life and gain a better understanding of the challenges that they may face.

My Therapy Style

Each person generates their own understanding of life. My goal is to help each individual create their own meaning of life and gain a better understanding of the challenges that they may face. From a small child to a grown adult, there is the capacity for change within each one of use. Regardless of age, I look at each client as an individual and treat each person for who they are and the struggles that they may be facing. I offer a supportive. healing environment that is catered around each person's needs.

I have been practicing as a therapist since 2015 and have worked in clinical settings, non-profit, and in a private practice. I mainly utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused modalities as a part of my therapeutic approach. I will bring my knowledge, experience, and training to help you achieve the goals that you want to obtain. I look forward to learning more about you and helping you to take your first step in your treatment.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

My journey to becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist started when I was teaching horseback riding lessons to a group of troubled youth. I started to realize that the riding lessons that I was giving, seemed to be more listening to teens process their pain, comfort their tears, and developing a plan to help them feel more supported. By taking a step back and realizing that I wanted to do more for these adolescents, I decided to go back to school to get my graduate degree and license. I love working with my clients and helping them to achieve their goals, conquer their fears, and learn how to find their inner strength.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love the outdoors. You will often find me out on a lake fishing (competitively!), hunting, camping, or just enjoy the mountains. I also love horseback riding and spending time with my family and kids.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

On a daily basis, I love going for walks in the morning, taking hot showers at the end of the day, and connecting with family and friends. I also enjoy weekend get aways to the mountains to help clear my head and soul.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Temple Grandin Foundation. Her work is phenomenal in regard to the work that she has done with the autism world as well as developing key developmental insights to both animals and people struggling with autism.

How do you recharge?

A good trip to the mountains or time on a lake definitely recharges my soul.

Do you have any pets?

I live on a farm with several dogs, cats, goats, and horses. My family loves the outdoors and all things animal related. There has even been a time or two (or ten!) that we have had a baby goat living in the house! That sure does make quite the adventure in our household but we wouldn't have it any other way!
