I value the individuality and uniqueness of each of my clients and tailor my treatment to fit their culture, values, strengths, and resources.

My Therapy Style

In my career, I have served as a clinician and clinical supervisor for over 10 years in private practice, and community clinic settings. In my work as a clinician, I employ evidence-based practices and integrate them with the strengths and needs of the individual clients I work with. I value the individuality and uniqueness of each of my clients and tailor my treatment to fit their culture, values, strengths, and resources. This has allowed me to be a creative thinker in the treatment process. I make sure each session is constructive, and that my clients feel they are growing, healing, and learning each time they meet with me.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional to help people see their unique gifts and to learn to use those gifts to heal.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love to be with my family and to be outdoors. I enjoy hiking, and being in nature, reading, and cooking.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I make it a priority to sleep 8 hours/night (among other non-negotiables!)

What book have you read more than once?

Its a tie between Healing Developmental Trauma by Dr. Lawrence Heller and Brad Kammer and The Boy Who Was Raised as a Dog by Dr. Bruce Perry.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Alliance for Community Empowerment, because they work toward transforming individuals through empowerment and skills training, which connects to my "why" - to empower individuals to heal, grow, and move through life's challenges.

How do you recharge?

I spend time outdoors or listen to meditative music at home while laying down, or meditating.
