My Therapy Style

I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field working with children, adults, and families in a variety of settings. I am also an Adjunct Faculty at the University of San Francisco, Sacramento Campus, in the MFT Counseling Psychology Graduate Program. I continuously strive to learn and grow as an individual and use what I know to help others. My jam is to share and care.

I have a passion for connecting with others and I believe in the positive impact a trusting therapeutic relationship can have on my clients’ progress. I seek to help explore the obstacles blocking my clients from living a life they love. Whether they need support with managing moods, changing behavior, or improving relationships, I will create a plan using evidenced-based strategies, supported by neuroscience, and incorporate mind-body connection practices to heal the whole person.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have been fascinated with the human mind and relationships for the majority of my life and truly light up when I can help someone who is suffering. I find great joy in guiding people to discover their worth and could not imagine a more fitting career for myself.

What are your interests outside of work?

I have many passions, but music is at the top of the list! I love to find new artists, dance to live shows, and seek refuge in the depth of the artist's vulnerability shown in their songs. I also love laughing with friends and family at comedy shows, and game nights. Nature and trying new activities and food are also fun!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I make sure to move my body! Whether it's dancing, swimming, walking my dog, or strength-training, I support my mood, energy, and sleep with this daily habit.

Do you have any pets?

I have a wonderful, sassy, loving dog named Evie, named after a character from Out of This World, a favorite TV show from childhood. My previous dog who lived just shy of 18 years was a blind Shih-Tzu named Jiggy Wickett, named, in part, after the Ewoks from Return of the Jedi. He was so inspiring to watch move through life, walking with no fear, jumping off couches, and riding in the bow of the boat with his hair flowing in the wind. You can't get a better model for how to live your life to the fullest!
